This state park offers endless amounts of things to do for couples and for families with free parking and admission. There is over 1,000 acres of campgrounds, parks, beaches, walking trails, bike paths, and fields. Meigs Point Nature Center is also within Hammonasset State Park, offering aquariums and reptile and amphibian exhibits for the kids. The park is open 7 days a week at 8 am until sunset.
